In Khmelnitsky region, a bus with children left the road and crashed into a wall. 7 children aged 8-15 years and a 62-year-old man were injured. Criminal proceedings have been opened.
On Monday, August 5, a traffic accident occurred on the Zhytomyr — Chernivtsi highway in the village of Zhvanets, Kamyanets-Podilsky district, Khmelnitsky region. As a result of the accident, eight people were injured, including seven children. This was announced by the head of the communications sector of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Khmelnitsky region Inna Glega, reports UNN.

"A 61-year-old resident of the Chernivtsi region was transporting children on vacation from Kiev to the Republic of Bulgaria on vacation. Without taking into account the traffic situation, the driver left the road in the village of Zhvanets, after which he collided with a wall of non-residential premises. As a result of the accident, a 62-year-old man and seven children aged from 8 to 15 years were injured. Doctors took them to the hospital," Inna Glega said.
According to her, at the time of the accident, there were 31 children and adults on the bus who accompanied schoolchildren. On this fact, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The head of the communications sector of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Khmelnytsky region said that the sanction of the article provides for a fine of three to five thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of freedom for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
