On August 3, a terrible road accident occurred in the Rivne region, killing a 25-year-old driver of a Mercedes. The man, who lived in the village of Tseptsevychi, Sarny district, was driving on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Hoshcha.
At some point during the trip, the driver lost control of the car. The reasons for the loss of control have not yet been established. The car drove off the roadway and hit a concrete pole at high speed. The driver was killed on the spot as a result of the strong impact.
His pregnant wife was also in the car, and she was seriously injured. She was unblocked from the mangled car by rescuers and immediately hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital.
Law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules that led to the driver's death.
