The Romanian Ministry of Defense announced the scrambling of two German Eurofighter jets after detecting groups of Russian drones near the border with Ukraine. The aircraft monitored the air situation in the border area in the north of Tulcea county.
During the night, the enemy attacked Izmail district with attack drones, damaging infrastructure and blowing out windows in administrative buildings in Izmail. Romanian media reported that the attack was recorded from Tulcea, with 13 calls to the emergency number.
Two Romanian Air Force F-16s patrolled the airspace at night due to Russian drone attacks on facilities in Ukraine near the border. The Romanian Ministry of Defense stepped up monitoring and warned the population of the Tulcea border county.
