The SBU detained 9 Russian agents who were collecting intelligence for missile strikes on Ukraine. The detainees include officials, managers and a student who operated in different regions of the country.

The city of Sumy heard the sound of an explosion, an air raid was declared in the city and region. The Air Force Command warned of the possible use of guided bombs.

Today, there will be no scheduled power outages, but 96 settlements in 4 regions are without power due to the weather. The Ministry of Energy urges people to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours.

In the Sumy region, enemy shelling damaged critical infrastructure, a post office building, and transportation. Over the day, 41 attacks with 140 explosions were recorded in the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

Forecasters warn of an extreme level of fire danger in most regions of Ukraine on August 4. Rains are expected in the north and west, with daytime temperatures of up to 27°C and sometimes up to 32°C.

At night and in the morning, the enemy attacked Bilopilska and Esmanska communities in Sumy region. An explosive device was dropped on the Bilopil community, and the Esman community was attacked by FPV drones.

According to the State Border Guard Service, Russia shelled Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions about 2,000 times in July. Artillery, drones, and aircraft were used, with Sumy and Kharkiv regions suffering the most.

In the last day, 156 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The situation was the hottest in the Pokrovsk sector, where 55 attacks were repelled. Ukrainian defense forces struck 18 times at enemy positions, hitting an important facility.

Explosions are heard in Dnipro, and an air alert is issued. The Air Force warns of the threat of ballistic missile attacks in 10 regions of Ukraine, including Dnipro.

The NABU is investigating the privatization of land in Sumy region that was previously used by NAAS enterprises. Detectives plan to question more than 1,500 ATO participants who received these plots.

At night, Russian troops attacked the civilian infrastructure of the Bilopil community in Sumy region with a drone. An 82-year-old woman was wounded in the attack and private homes were damaged.
