According to the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of August 5, 2024, the Russian occupiers attacked with Shahed UAVs from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk.
The Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and tracked down 24 attack drones. As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, all enemy UAVs were shot down by mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare assets of the Air Force in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava and Dnipro regions
