Ukrainian football club from Donetsk

FC Shakhtar (Donetsk) was founded in May 1936 and is one of the most decorated football clubs in Ukraine. The club is a four-time winner of the USSR Cup and became the first in independent Ukraine to win the UEFA Cup in 2009. During Ukraine's independence, Shakhtar became a record holder for the number of victories in the Ukrainian Cup. The best scorer in Shakhtar's history is the Brazilian forward Luiz Adriano, who played for the "orange-blacks" from 2007-2015 and scored 128 goals.
