Zelenskyy responded to the earthquake in Colombia and called on the world to help

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed full support for and solidarity with the people of Colombia, who experienced an earthquake, and also expressed condolences to the relatives of those killed and to everyone affected, reports UNN.

Zelenskyy also called on everyone around the world who can support the people and countries now to be sure to help.

Context

According to CNN, at least 74 people were killed as a result of a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Colombia today.

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 103 km in Chocó Province, the country's geological service reported.

The mayor of Pereira, located in Colombia's coffee-growing region, said that at least 18 people were killed as a result of the earthquake.

This earthquake occurred less than two months after two earthquakes devastated neighboring Venezuela's north, killing more than 6,100 people.

The epicenter of Monday's earthquake was near the village of San José del Palmar in Chocó Province, on the country's Pacific coast.
