On April 5, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Decree No. 220/2024, appointing Volodymyr Ivanovych Hordiychuk Deputy Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Ivanovych Hordiychuk was born in the village of Barvinivka, Zhytomyr region, graduated from the Kyiv Institute of the Air Force of Ukraine and holds a master's degree from the Academy of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The Deputy Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine has gained considerable experience in military service, including as the head of the Central Territorial Department of the National Guard.
