A member of the Uzhhorod City Council has been notified of suspicion for including inaccurate information in his declaration, specifically regarding property and financial assets totaling nearly 78 million UAH. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.
Under the procedural guidance of the Uzhhorod District Prosecutor's Office, a current member of the Uzhhorod City Council has been notified of suspicion regarding the intentional submission of knowingly false information in a declaration (Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the deputy failed to declare the use of a hotel and restaurant complex on the outskirts of Uzhhorod, which has been operating for about 20 years. This includes a hotel with an area of over 1,074 sq. m, a bathhouse, a food block with a swimming pool, a cafe-bar, and other facilities. The total value of this real estate is nearly 50 million UAH.
The violations were identified following a full audit of the declaration conducted by the NAPC, as well as during the monitoring of the declaration by prosecutors.
Furthermore, the deputy declared, together with his wife, over 108 million UAH in cash equivalent; however, their officially confirmed financial capabilities indicate the possibility of accumulating only slightly more than 78.1 million UAH. Thus, the difference between the declared assets and confirmed income exceeds 28.3 million UAH.
The total amount of inaccurate information in the declaration is nearly 78 million UAH. The Prosecutor's Office will petition for the suspect to be placed under 24-hour house arrest as a preventive measure.
