According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the $7.5 billion in U.S. aid will allow Ukraine to finance all social expenditures, such as pensions and subsidies, without delay.

Thanks to the US law on support for Ukraine, the government will be able to finance all social expenditures this year. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal is speaking at a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.

Indeed, Congress voted and allocated almost $61 billion for Ukraine this year. Biden has signed this law, and the assistance has already begun. 50 billion is a significant military part of this aid and it is already coming to Ukraine to support our Armed Forces, to support our ability to defend our country

- Shmyhal said.

He reminded that UAH 7.8 billion is budget support.

Another part of these funds, namely USD 7.5 billion, is direct budget financing. This is exactly the piece of the budget puzzle that we lacked to close the budget deficit by the end of this year. In fact, we are confident that this year, and frankly, we are already confident for the next year, we will definitely finance all social payments, all pensions, subsidies, i.e. everything that the state has to do, we will do on time, without delays, in full. American assistance gives us confidence in fulfilling these obligations

- Shmyhal said.
