Rustem Umerov met with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner regarding prisoners. The parties discussed diplomatic steps to achieve peace in the war.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and chief Ukrainian negotiator, Rustem Umerov, held a meeting with the U.S. President's Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. He announced this on Telegram, reports UNN.
Details
The main focus was on the humanitarian track: the return of our prisoners held by Russia. This remains one of Ukraine's key priorities
The meeting also discussed the need to intensify the diplomatic process and coordinate further steps to achieve a dignified peace. Following the meeting, Umerov reported to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
