The Ukrainian gymnasts finished their performances at the Olympic Games, taking 7th place in the group all-around. The team scored 68.950 points, losing its medal chances due to errors in the three-ribbon and two-ball routine.

Ukraine qualified for the final in the group all-around with the third best result in the qualification. The Ukrainians scored 68.950 points in the five-hoop, three-ribbon and two-ball routines.
Even in the final after of the five-hoop routine, the Ukrainians continued to be medal contenders. The blue-and-yellow rhythmic gymnasts finished the first part of the final with a score of 36.550 points.
However, the Ukrainians lost their chances for a medal in the three-ribbon and two-ball exercise. Due to the loss of items during the exercise, the Blue and Yellows received only 29.150 points - 4.350 points less than in the qualification.
As a result, Ukraine took seventh place in the final, ahead of only Uzbekistan. The Olympic champions were the representatives of China.
