By June 1, 10 million square meters of roads will be repaired in Ukraine for defense needs. An additional 3.5 billion UAH will be allocated for the restoration of local routes.

Current repairs on all public roads in Ukraine are planned to be completed by June 1. Approximately 10 million square meters of road surface are expected to be updated. This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko on her Telegram channel, according to UNN.

According to the head of the government, priority is given to roads with the highest traffic load, significant damage, and importance for logistics, defense, evacuation of the population, and ensuring the functioning of communities.

As of early May, major works have already been completed on key international highways.

Repairs continue near the front line

The State Special Transport Service continues repair work in the 40-kilometer zone near the line of contact. Currently, work is underway on 59 sections with a total length of over 1,200 km.

A separate focus is on local roads. For their repair, the Government, for its part, will additionally allocate 3.5 billion UAH
