The first lane of the Paton Bridge heading towards the right bank will be partially closed due to repairs on an expansion joint. The work is scheduled to be completed by May 14.
In Kyiv, traffic on the Paton Bridge will be temporarily partially restricted due to repairs of an expansion joint. This was reported by the Kyiv City Administration, according to UNN.
On the Ye. O. Paton Bridge, traffic will be temporarily partially restricted in the first lane in the direction from the left to the right bank. The restrictions are related to urgent repair work
As noted by the utility company "Kyivavtoshlyakhmist," during a routine technical inspection, specialists discovered a defect in a closed-type expansion joint of the bridge deck's concrete slabs. To prevent further destruction of the structure and the possible formation of a sinkhole, the damaged section will be repaired.
The Kyiv City State Administration assured that, according to a preliminary assessment, the defect is local in nature and does not currently affect the overall technical condition of the bridge. At the same time, specialists emphasize that the damage requires prompt elimination.
Repair work is expected to last until approximately May 14. Drivers are asked to take the temporary restrictions into account when planning routes through the city.
