On July 5, 2024, the foreign ministers of Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, and Romania gathered in Chisinau for important trilateral consultations. The meeting was aimed at discussing the current security situation in the region and future prospects for cooperation between the countries.

The meeting emphasized that the countries represented share similar visions and concerns about the current security situation in Europe in the context of russia's ongoing aggressive war against Ukraine and stand for a common European, democratic, peaceful and prosperous future

The ministers reaffirmed their readiness to cooperate closely in areas such as security, energy, trade and infrastructure, as well as to achieve European standards in democratic development.

The ministers also expressed their common vision for the future of Europe, emphasizing the importance of European, democratic and peaceful development of the region. Special attention was paid to increasing the resilience of societies to hybrid threats, including disinformation and information manipulation.

In addition, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Countering Foreign Information Interference, confirming their readiness to work together to strengthen energy security, develop infrastructure, and combat climate change in the region.

Particular emphasis was placed on expressing full support for the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and intensifying efforts to establish sustainable peace in Ukraine.
