British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the country is not at war with Russia. This denial followed statements by the Russian ambassador about Britain's direct involvement in the conflict.

Official explained: “No, we are not in a state of war, but Ukraine is definitely in a state of war, because Ukraine has been invaded by Russia, and this war has been going on for a little over 1,000 days.
Context
Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin now sees the UK as a country directly involved in Russia's war in Ukraine. He said this in an interview with Sky News.
“The UK is now directly involved in this war. These attacks cannot take place without NATO forces, including British forces,” Kelin said.
