Trump stated that Israel's attack on Beirut "should not have happened"

Trump condemned Israel's strike on Beirut due to the preparation of a peace deal with Iran. He called on the parties to cease fire for the sake of stability in the region.

U.S. President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, criticized Israel for attacking the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, this morning, as Washington and Tehran are so close to a peace deal, UNN reports, citing The Guardian.
Trump stated that there should be no more attacks on Lebanon, something Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is unlikely to agree with.
Today’s attack on Beirut should not have happened, especially on such a special day when we are so close to a peace deal with Iran. Israel has the right to defend itself against threats, but the attack it responded to was very minor and senseless, no one was hurt, injured, or killed, and it should not disrupt this important process. We are very close to a deal that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon, and all parties must stop the attack. Israel must no longer attack Lebanese territory, but any other parties, including Hezbollah, must also no longer attack Israel. This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace — let’s not spoil it!
As a reminder
Israel carried out strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure facilities in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut.
