Earlier, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, acting as a mediator between Washington and Tehran, confirmed receipt of the Iranian plan in response to the American initiatives.
According to media reports, the US proposed a 14-point memorandum that could serve as a basis for further negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program. Washington has not officially released the contents of the document.
On Sunday, Trump announced on the social network Truth Social that he had reviewed Tehran's response.
"I didn't like it. Absolutely unacceptable!"
Trump did not specify which provisions of the American plan Iran objected to or what the substance of Tehran's response was.
