Trump changed his mind about the war in Ukraine after what he saw - Macron

U.S. President Donald Trump has changed his stance on the Russian-Ukrainian war. He no longer believes that Ukrainians are losing the war. This was reported on France TV by French President Emmanuel Macron, as reported by UNN.

Details

Following the summit of the Group of Seven in Évian-les-Bains, France, Macron stated that Trump changed his mind after seeing how Ukrainians survived the winter and continue to resist Russian aggression.

Trump, firstly, saw that everything he was told - that Ukrainians would perish, that they would not survive the winter - turned out to be untrue. And that before him are brave, resourceful people whom he respects. Secondly: he saw that Europeans are taking responsibility. Thirdly: the U.S. President saw that Russia is not fulfilling its obligations and that for them, "peace" means Ukraine's capitulation

 - Macron stated.

In his opinion, during the G7 summit, there was a "real turnaround that should be welcomed." The French President considers this step "real progress that will lead to Donald Trump being able at some point to put pressure on Vladimir Putin."

I am convinced that President Trump will simultaneously become more actively involved in this process so that we can jointly help Ukraine in these military efforts - both in defense, and in protecting its territory, and in deterring Russia

- reads Macron's statement.
