Sweden has officially joined NATO as the 32nd member state after abandoning its non-aligned policy due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The flag-raising ceremony took place at NATO Headquarters in Brussels with the participation of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and NATO officials.

The ceremony of raising the flag of Sweden in honor of the country's accession to NATO took place at the Alliance's headquarters on Monday, March 11. It was broadcast on NATO's website, UNN reports.

The ceremony took place in Brussels. The ceremony was attended by the top officials of Sweden and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Among them, HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden arrived at NATO Headquarters in Brussels to take part in the flag-raising ceremony marking Sweden's accession to NATO.
