As CNN reports, the latest strikes came hours after U.S. President Donald Trump made clear he is not yet ready for negotiations on a new ceasefire. According to state media, four people were killed in strikes on several areas of Iran.

The price of oil exceeded $100 per barrel for the first time since May after Houthi rebels attacked Saudi vessels in the Red Sea. The U.S.-Israeli war against Iran began on February 28; Tehran responded with its own strikes on Israel and the Gulf states where American bases are located.
U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran and Israeli attacks on Lebanon have since killed thousands and displaced millions. Trump has also threatened to attack Iranian energy facilities and bridges. Iran warned that if the U.S. carries out such threats, Iranian forces will attack regional oil and gas, energy, and economic facilities.
