In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the death toll from the Ebola outbreak has risen to at least 930 people. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Health, according to AP, writes UNN.

In just one day from Friday to Saturday, 37 new deaths were recorded – one of the highest daily figures since the start of the outbreak. As of Saturday, 2,344 confirmed cases of the disease have been reported in the country.
The outbreak, declared on May 15 in the east of the country, has become the fastest-growing in the history of observations. It was caused by the Bundibugyo virus, for which there is currently no approved vaccine or treatment.
WHO warns of rapid spread of the infection
According to the Ministry of Health, at least 36 infected healthcare workers have died since the start of the outbreak. A total of at least 12 attacks on medical facilities and teams have been recorded, complicating efforts to combat the spread of the disease.
Last week, the World Health Organization reported that about 80% of new cases arise from unidentified transmission chains, indicating that the virus is spreading faster than medical workers can track it.
Currently, 724 patients are in isolation wards and hospitals. The Ministry of Health reported that another 22 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.
