More than half a million Ukrainians have received a deferral from conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ministry of Economy has issued about 31,246 orders to discharge conscripts.
More than half a million Ukrainians have been postponed from being drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Radio Liberty and UNN with reference to the Ministry of Economy.

The press service of the Ministry of Economy, at the request of Radio Liberty, reported that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression, the ministry has issued about 31,246 orders to reserve military personnel for enterprises, institutions or organizations, of which about 16,297 are in force.
The ministry points out that the deferral is granted in accordance with the procedure for reserving persons liable for military service during martial law, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on January 27, 2023. At the same time, the Ministry of Economy says, the document provides for different deferral periods, so "the total number of reservations is constantly changing.
In accordance with the orders of the Ministry of Economy, about 600 thousand people currently have a valid deferment from the draft

Two more draft laws have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine , which propose to allow companies to "reserve" up to 50% of their employees subject to military service by paying a fee of UAH 20,400 per person to the state budget.
