The Ministry of Defense codified the unique all-wheel drive motorcycle MUL.E
Kyiv • UNN
The Ministry of Defense has authorized the use of the first all-wheel drive electric motorcycle MUL.E in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It has high mine resistance and can serve as a generator for a unit.

Silent movement, low visibility, extensive off-road capabilities, powerful traction, mine resistance, versatility – the Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized for use in the Armed Forces the first all-wheel drive electric motorcycle in Ukraine, the MUL.E, reports UNN citing the Ministry of Defense.
Details
The electric motorcycle was developed at a Ukrainian enterprise specializing in the production of military products. The vehicle was designed based on the requests of the military to perform tasks in the conditions of modern high-intensity warfare.
The engineers managed to implement a number of important design solutions that are absent in traditional military motorcycles with internal combustion engines.
The MUL.E is intended for transporting personnel with weapons, small-sized cargo, evacuating the wounded, on roads with various surfaces, and in off-road conditions.
What is the uniqueness of the MUL.E electric motorcycle
During testing, the MUL.E confirmed its stated tactical and technical characteristics and capabilities for performing military missions.
This motorcycle has the following features:
- unique 2×2 all-wheel drive design;
- increased survivability (2 independent motors);
- low visibility/silent operation;
- high-performance electric motors;
- short deployment/stowage time;
- long autonomous operation time;
- significant range;
- high mine resistance due to low ground pressure;
- high maximum speed.
In addition, the MUL.E provides the ability to tow a trailer with cargo.
Bike-generator: The MUL.E can provide electricity to a unit
The charged batteries of the MUL.E electric motorcycle are sufficient for almost 100 km of travel. After a full discharge, the vehicle does not stop, unlike other electrical equipment.
An additional gasoline generator is installed on the MUL.E frame, which charges the standard batteries. It is removable, so it can be used as a power source for:
- charging batteries of phones, communication devices, FPV drones;
- providing power supply to a unit in field conditions.
Thanks to the use of wide off-road tires and all-wheel drive, the electric motorcycle can move through difficult off-road terrain, on muddy ground, sand, deep snow, and swampy areas.
The vehicle creates low ground pressure, similar to the foot of an infantryman. Due to this, it does not activate most mines designed to destroy automotive and armored vehicles.
Enhancing mobility: 1,500 motorcycles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Motorcycles currently remain one of the most sought-after vehicles on the front line, alongside pickup trucks. They provide Ukrainian soldiers with high mobility, speed of movement, and efficiency in task execution, especially in conditions of complex logistics, lack of roads, or during the work of small groups.
Reminder
In 2026, the Defense Procurement Agency DOT signed contracts for the supply of 1,500 motorcycles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three times the volume of the previous year. Thanks to the involvement of six companies in the tender and transparent competition, the final cost was reduced, saving almost UAH 12 million for the state budget.
Mobility on the front line directly affects the speed of combat mission execution and the preservation of soldiers' lives.
