The head of the department, Tetiana Berezhna, presented the program to strengthen Ukrainian cultural products. Applications are accepted until May 28, and the selection will take place in three stages until August.

Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy of Ukraine - Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna presented the state program for supporting cultural products "Tysiachovesna" (Thousand Springs). This happened during a meeting with representatives of the film industry, UNN reports with reference to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

According to Berezhna, one of the main goals of this program is to strengthen Ukrainian cultural content and reduce the influence of Russian-language products in the information space.

Applications for the competition will be accepted from April 3 to May 28. Details can be found on the competition page, the Ministry of Culture stated.

The department also noted that legal entities regardless of their organizational and legal form (creative unions, public organizations, budgetary institutions), individual entrepreneurs, and other business entities registered in Ukraine can participate in the initiative.

The selection of cultural products will take place in three stages:

  • Stage 1 - May 29 - June 5. Verification of submitted documents. The list of participants who advanced to the second stage will be published on the websites of the Ministry of Culture, Derzhkino (State Film Agency), and Derzhmystetstv (State Agency of Arts). It will include the project name, a brief description, the participant's name, and the competition direction;
    • Stage 2 - June 10 - July 21. Expert evaluation of each project. The distribution of projects among experts will be carried out by open drawing during an online broadcast. Those who score at least 60 points based on the results of the second stage will advance to the third stage;
      • Stage 3 - August. Public presentation of projects before the competition commissions in in-person, remote, or mixed formats. The participant is given up to 15 minutes for the presentation: 10 minutes for the presentation, and 5 minutes for questions and answers.

        Next, the commission members will discuss the projects. Foreign specialists with an advisory vote will be involved in the final stage. After the third stage, the commission draws up a protocol with proposals for the winners and submits it to the Ministry of Culture within three working days.
