The government has appointed a new head of the State Customs Service

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Orest Mandziy as the head of customs based on the results of the competition. The new head is expected to reform and ensure the transparency of the customs system.

The government has appointed the head of the State Customs Service, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced on Friday on social media, UNN reports.
The government has appointed Orest Mandziy as the head of the State Customs Service. The corresponding submission, based on the results of an open competition, was made by Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko.
The Prime Minister indicated that the new head is expected to "continue the reform of the customs service, form a modern, transparent and effective customs system that works to ensure the financial stability of the state."
"We count on consistent work to implement these changes and further strengthen the institutional capacity of the customs service," she noted.

The Cabinet of Ministers launched the open competition process for the position of head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine on August 4, 2025.
On March 27, the competition commission for the position of head of the State Customs Service selected two finalists – Ruslan Damentsov and Orest Mandziy, "both from NABU."
