Kaja Kallas announced sanctions against Russia's military complex and shadow fleet. The EU will also discuss an entry ban for Russian military personnel.
In the EU today, foreign ministers will discuss Ukraine, which was again subjected to a massive Russian attack overnight, including UNESCO heritage sites, as well as new sanctions against the Russian Federation, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Monday upon arriving at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, UNN reports.

"We will discuss Ukraine. Last night, we again witnessed intensified attacks on the civilian population, as well as on UNESCO heritage sites. So these are all war crimes being committed by Russia. Of course, today we will also present more listings, more sanctions that we are working on regarding Russia's military-industrial complex, as well as the shadow fleet. And I also welcome the news about the interception of the shadow fleet by the United Kingdom," said EU diplomacy chief Kallas.
Regarding the clarification on how to practically implement the proposal in the 21st sanctions package to ban Russian military personnel from entering the EU, Kallas noted: "Of course, we also have intelligence on people who participated in the war, so it is similar to adding them to the Schengen ban list so that they cannot enter Europe. I am not an expert on visas and these matters, but as our experts say, it is possible."
