Syrskyi: Russia has lost over 55,000 soldiers in the Kursk region in 7.5 months, over 22,000 irrevocably

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Defense Forces are conducting a defensive operation in the area of the "Kursk" group of troops. In 7.5 months, it lost more than 55,000 soldiers in the Kursk region. He announced this on Facebook, writes UNN.

Due to the increased intensity of the enemy's actions and the enemy's attempts to displace and transfer hostilities to the territory of Sumy Oblast, I worked in Sumy Oblast in the brigades of the Airborne Assault Forces, the Marine Corps, the Territorial Defense, mechanized and some other units. Here, in the operational zone of the "Kursk" group of troops, our soldiers continue to conduct a defensive operation to prevent the enemy from breaking deep into the territory of Ukraine. For the same purpose, Ukrainian troops are carrying out effective counter-offensive and assault actions

During his work, Syrskyi noted, he studied in detail all the problematic issues related to the organization of combat operations, and also made decisions on replenishing ammunition, drones, and moving reserves.

In the seven and a half months since the start of the Kursk operation, the total losses inflicted on the enemy by our soldiers amount to more than 55,000 people. Of these, irretrievable - more than 22.2 thousand, sanitary - more than 31.8 thousand invaders, prisoners - more than 940 people

My respect to the soldiers in the Kursk direction for their effectiveness and resilience. Thanks to you, we are maintaining a "sanitary zone" on the territory of the aggressor country, blocking the enemy on the northern border of Sumy Oblast.
