Sweden has begun training Ukrainian pilots on Gripen and is preparing the transfer of aircraft with Meteor missiles. The training program will expand as early as this autumn.

Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson stated that the training of Ukrainian pilots and technical personnel on Gripen fighter jets has already begun and will be expanded in the fall. He reported this on the X social network, according to UNN.

According to Jonson, Ukraine could receive Gripen C/D fighters along with modern weaponry, including IRIS-T, AMRAAM, and long-range Meteor missiles. He emphasized that this is not just about transferring aircraft, but about creating a complete, modern military aviation system.
