Russian shelling on March 30 caused UAH 1.6 million in damage after 77 tons of oil products were burned at energy facilities in Odesa region.
UAH 1.6 million in air damage after the energy infrastructure of Odesa region suffered another attack on March 30. The facilities storing 77 tons of oil products caught fire. The material damage caused by this Russian shelling to the environment was calculated by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District, UNN reports.
On March 30 , the energy infrastructure of Odesa region came under another attack. As a result of the shelling, buildings and structures on a total area of 400 square meters and 77 tons of oil products (transformer oil) were burned. The burning released almost 266 tons of carbon dioxide into the air. State inspectors estimated the damage to the air at UAH 1.6 million.
Details
The information about the environmental damage was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine to form a unified register of environmental damage caused by armed aggression.
