In Kherson, Russian troops attacked a shuttle bus and an ambulance with drones today, resulting in one death and several injuries, reported Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, and the RMA on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"At around 08:00, the Russians attacked a shuttle bus in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson with a drone. A man died on the spot due to the enemy UAV hitting the bus," Prokudin wrote on social media.

According to the prosecutor's office, the Russian military dropped explosives from a UAV onto a shuttle taxi in Kherson on June 16, 2026, at approximately 07:50. The RMA indicated that "three people who were injured in the morning due to the Russian drone strike on the shuttle bus in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson were taken to the hospital. A 75-year-old woman and two men aged 66 and 64 were diagnosed with concussions, blast injuries, and shrapnel wounds to the torso and limbs." The prosecutor's office reported that one of the victims is the bus driver.

At night, according to the RMA, at approximately 01:35, the Russians attacked an ambulance with a drone in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. "Due to the UAV hit, two emergency service specialists—men aged 51 and 62—were injured. Both victims suffered blast injuries, closed traumatic brain injuries, and concussions. The 51-year-old victim was hospitalized, while the other will receive outpatient treatment. Also, due to this attack, a 45-year-old Kherson resident sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the neck and legs. He was hospitalized to receive the necessary medical care," the report says.

According to the prosecutor's office, the strike injured, among others, a paramedic and a medical technician of the emergency medical service—both were inside the vehicle.

According to data from Prokudin, over the past day in the region, 1 person died and 21 others were injured, including 1 child, due to Russian aggression. The Russian military struck critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential quarters of the region's settlements, specifically damaging 5 private houses. The occupiers also damaged a supermarket.
