A Russian agent was sentenced to 15 years in prison for adjusting shelling in the Kharkiv region and attempting to set fire to an AFU vehicle. The man collected data through his own Telegram channel.

Based on the evidence base of the Security Service of Ukraine, a Russian agent exposed by the SBU in September 2024 for adjusting shelling in the Kharkiv region has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. This was reported by UNN with reference to a message from the special service.
Details
It is indicated that the agent turned out to be a resident of a frontline village recruited by the enemy, who administered a Telegram channel with a total audience of 10,000 users.
Using the internet resource, the agent gathered data "blindly" about the basing points and movement routes of the Defense Forces in the Kupyansk direction. After obtaining the geolocations of Ukrainian troops, the perpetrator went to the area to conduct additional reconnaissance and "report" to a handler from the Russian Federation
It is noted that in parallel, the traitor attempted to burn a military vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the district center at night. To do this, the agent tracked the vehicle and prepared a flammable mixture.
SBU officers detained the agent "red-handed" after his failed attempt to destroy the military vehicle. According to the case files, the blogger came to the attention of Russian special services when he posted pro-Kremlin posts on his TG channel. After recruitment, the traitor covertly questioned users of the online community about the locations and movements of Ukrainian soldiers defending Kupyansk
The SBU clarified that the agent transmitted the collected information to a Russian special service officer via an anonymous chat in a messenger in the form of coordinates and photo fixations of potential "targets."
During searches, a smartphone used by the perpetrator to collect intelligence and contact the enemy was seized. The court found the agent guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: "high treason committed under martial law" and "unfinished attempt at intentional destruction or damage of property."
Recall
Military counterintelligence of the Security Service detained one of the undercover FSB agents in Kyiv, whom the enemy special service had kept in "standby mode" for 12 years. Since February of this year, he had been preparing coordinates for a precision missile strike by the Rashists on Kyiv, specifically on the house of the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
