A former Radio Liberty journalist was detained in Chita on suspicion of transmitting data to the SBU. He is accused of facilitating cyberattacks on Russian government agencies.
Russia's FSB announced the detention of a former freelance journalist for Radio Svoboda on suspicion of treason. Reuters reports this, according to UNN.

According to Russian special services, the man allegedly passed information to Ukrainian intelligence, including the SBU. His name has not been officially disclosed.
The FSB claims that the detainee, a resident of Chita, transmitted data about a local publication and critical infrastructure facilities via Telegram.
"The information received by the Ukrainian special services was used to carry out cyberattacks, which temporarily complicated the work of government agencies," the FSB stated.
At the same time, there is no independent confirmation of these accusations. The Ukrainian side and Radio Svoboda have not yet commented on the situation.
According to Russian security forces, information carriers and mobile phones were seized from the man during a search.
The FSB also stated that "everyone who helps the enemy will be identified and brought to justice."
