In the village of Shyriaieve, Berezivka district, Odesa region, a 28-year-old man was rescued from under the rubble of an abandoned building where he was crushed by a concrete slab. The rescue operation lasted nearly two hours with the participation of police, rescuers, and local residents. The victim was hospitalized with numerous injuries. The incident occurred yesterday evening, June 8, in the village of Shyriaieve, Berezivka district. A woman called the police and reported an accident on the outskirts of the settlement—her 28-year-old partner was trapped under the rubble,
Duty crews from the patrol police response sector, an investigative-operational group, and the leadership of Police Department No. 2 of the Berezivka District Police Department, along with rescuers and medics, immediately arrived at the scene. Without wasting time, law enforcement officers rushed to clear the debris on the second floor of the building, attempting to free the victim.
It was impossible to lift the heavy concrete slab on their own, but the man was eventually pulled from under the rubble thanks to the help of a local farmer who provided a truck crane.
The rescue operation lasted nearly two hours. Thanks to joint coordinated actions and the concern of local residents, a human life was saved. The victim, with numerous physical injuries and bone fractures, was handed over to emergency medical services and hospitalized. He is currently in the hospital,
