A 51-year-old resident of the Lviv region set fire to a relative's property and himself following a conflict. The man died in intensive care despite the efforts of law enforcement and doctors.

In the Lviv region, a 51-year-old man committed self-immolation; law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances, the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region reported on Tuesday, UNN writes.

The incident occurred on June 7 in one of the villages of the district. Law enforcement officers, rescuers, and other specialized services worked at the scene.
As law enforcement officers preliminary established, at around 07:40, after a conflict with a female relative, the 51-year-old local resident set fire to an outbuilding on the territory of her household using gasoline. After that, he went to his own house, where he doused himself with gasoline and set himself on fire,
Police officers from the operational response group who arrived at the scene rescued the man and ensured he received the necessary assistance. He was subsequently hospitalized in a medical facility.
"Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medics, the man died in the intensive care unit of the hospital," the police stated.
