The document establishes a guaranteed base salary for police officers and rank-and-file and senior staff of the civil protection service (belonging to the SES personnel) at the level of 10 subsistence minimums, and also proposes an updated system of seniority bonuses and a clear payment structure.
The application of the new conditions for calculating financial support is planned to begin on January 1, 2027.
Police officers temporarily serving outside of Ukraine will retain their payments in the national currency and will be paid remuneration in foreign currency according to the norms determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Police officers seconded to other state authorities, institutions, organizations, or assigned to other duties will receive financial support under the conditions and in the amount determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The law stipulates that the financial support of police officers and rank-and-file and senior staff of the civil protection service is subject to indexation in accordance with the law.
