At least 111 people were killed and another 87 injured in a magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Colombia. Sixty-one buildings collapsed, and 1,575 homes were damaged.

At least 111 people were killed as a result of a powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Colombia today. This was stated by Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella, UNN reports, citing CNN.
According to him, at least 87 people were also injured in the earthquake, 61 buildings collapsed, and 1,575 homes were damaged.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 occurred at a depth of 103 km in the province of Chocó, the country's geological service reported.
This earthquake occurred less than two months after two earthquakes devastated the north of neighboring Venezuela, killing more than 6,100 people.
The epicenter of Monday's earthquake was near the village of San José del Palmar in the province of Chocó, on the country's Pacific coast.
