Power supply restored to over 1,300 households in Berlin after outage

In Berlin, over 1,300 households were left without electricity due to an emergency outage, which was quickly resolved. This was reported by Spiegel, writes UNN.

Details

According to the grid operator Stromnetz Berlin, the power supply disappeared around 10:00 PM in the Nikolassee district in the southwest of the city. Full power restoration was achieved by 11:35 PM.

Some consumers were reconnected around 10:40 PM. In total, the outage affected 1,314 households. The operator has not yet named the cause of the accident.

Service Response

During the outage, police increased patrols in the area.

"Our officers are now more visible there to be accessible and strengthen the sense of security among residents," the law enforcement officers reported.

The incident occurred approximately three months after a large-scale power outage in early January, when about 100,000 people were left without electricity.

At that time, the cause was arson of cable infrastructure, and power restoration lasted several days.
