Demanded up to $5,000 - Police detained Bila Tserkva RTCK military personnel and served them with notices of suspicion

Kyiv Region police have exposed a former and current employees of the Bila Tserkva District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (RTCC) who demanded bribes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 from citizens for removal from the military register. The suspects were detained during the transfer of funds and have been served with notices of suspicion. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kyiv Region, according to UNN.
Details
During the pre-trial investigation, investigators established that a former and a current employee of the Bila Tserkva RTCC and SSC, together with an accomplice, demanded illegal benefits from citizens in the amount of $1,000 to $5,000. For the specified amount, the perpetrators promised to influence officials of the Bila Tserkva RTCC and SSC to remove conscripts from the military register
It is noted that the suspects were detained during the transfer of an illegal benefit in the amount of $5,000 in the city of Bila Tserkva and the Chernihiv region.
Law enforcement officers discovered and seized the funds and mobile phones. Investigators of the Kyiv Region Police Investigation Department, under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, notified the perpetrators of suspicion of aiding in the receipt of an illegal benefit for themselves or a third party, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
The sanction of the articles provides for 5 to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Recall
On Wednesday, April 29, information spread on social media that in Bila Tserkva, TCC employees were detained by SBU officers with the participation of the prosecutor's office. The reason for the detention was likely a bribe. However, law enforcement officials did not officially comment on the information.
The Kyiv Regional TCC and SSC stated that an internal investigation has already been ordered regarding this fact and added that they are in contact with law enforcement agencies.
