At the 2024 Olympics, a total of 80 athletes crossed the finish line on the marathon course, while 11 did not finish the race. Among the 80 athletes who covered the 42 kilometers of the course was 31-year-old Briton Harvey, who finished 78th with a personal best of 2:51.03 hours.
She later posted a photo of herself on crutches. The athlete said that she had felt discomfort in her hip during training, but hoped that she would be able to cover the distance without any problems. However, during the marathon, Harvey still did not escape injury.
