On August 3, Ukrainians will compete in benchrest shooting, cycling, swimming, fencing, gymnastics, rowing slalom, and track and field. Oleksandr Khyzhnyak guaranteed Ukraine the third medal of the 2024 Olympics.

At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on August 3, Ukrainians will compete in benchrest shooting, cycling, swimming, fencing, gymnastics, rowing slalom and athletics, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reported, UNN reports.

"Today, on August 3, on the eighth day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, representatives of the national team of Ukraine will compete in 7 sports," the NOC said.

The schedule of performances is based on Kyiv time:

Benchrest shooting (skeet)

10:00 - women, qualification: Iryna Malovychko

Cycling (road), medals will be awarded

12:00 - men's group race: Anatoly Budyak

Swimming (1500 m freestyle)

12:30 - men's qualification: Mikhail Romanchuk

Fencing (sabre, team), medals will be awarded

14:00 - women, 1/4 finals: Olga Harlan, Olena Kravatska, Alina Komashchuk, Yulia Bakastova

Artistic gymnastics, medals will be awarded

16:30 - men's free exercise, final: Ilya Kovtun

18:16 - Men's pommel horse, final: Oleg Vernyaev

Results of the competition day on August 2

On the seventh day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, representatives of the Ukrainian national team competed in 7 sports. Boxer Oleksandr Khyzhnyak guaranteed Ukraine's third medal of the Olympics - at least a bronze medal.

Diving (synchronized springboard 3 m)

Oleg Kolodiy and Danylo Konovalov took seventh place in the final (348.27)

Academic rowing

Ihor Khmara and Stanislav Kovalev finished fifth in the B final and finished 11th in the lightweight doubles competition

Shooting (small caliber pistol 25 m)

Olena Kostevych, who finished 25th in the qualifiers, failed to reach the final and ended her Olympic performance

Judo (weight category 78 kg+)

Kristina Homan lost by shido in the 1/16 finals to Marit Kamps from the Netherlands and finished her fight at the Games

Mykhailo Kokhan confidently qualified for the final of the hammer throw competition with a result of 77.42 meters

Oleksandr Pohorilko, Tetyana Melnyk, Danylo Danylenko and Mariana Shostak took sixth place in their group with a time of 3:15.51 minutes and became 14th overall in the qualifying round of the 4x400 meter mixed relay. The Ukrainian quartet failed to make it to the finals.

Roman Kokoshko finished his performances at the Olympic qualifying stage with a result of 19.36 meters in the shot put

Victoria Us showed the 26th result in the qualification and will continue to compete on August 3 in the first round.

Boxing (weight category 80 kg)

Oleksandr Khyzhnyak guaranteed Ukraine the third medal of the 2024 Olympics in Paris! In the 1/4 finals, he defeated Wanderson Pereira from Brazil by a unanimous decision of the judges - 5:0

“In the medal standings, with two awards (1 silver, 1 bronze), Ukraine ranks 41st,” the NOC said.
