186 combat engagements took place over the day, with the Pokrovsk direction being the hottest. The enemy used over 10,000 kamikaze drones and 244 guided aerial bombs.
186 battles occurred at the front over the past day, which is a quarter more than the day before, with the hottest situations reported in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions, the General Staff of the AFU reported in its morning briefing on May 6, showing a map of hostilities, UNN reports.

Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile strikes using 13 missiles, carried out 77 air strikes, and dropped 244 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it deployed 10,301 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,651 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, including 102 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 12 areas of concentration of the occupiers' personnel and three cannons.
Situation by directions
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, two combat engagements took place over the past day; the enemy carried out 96 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, three of which involved multiple launch rocket systems, and launched two air strikes using five guided bombs.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 12 times in the areas of Volchansk, Volchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Starytsia, Lyman, and in the direction of Izbytske.
In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor attacked twice toward Radkivka and Kindrashivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlements of Drobysheve, Stavky, Dibrova, and in the Torske area.
In the Slovyansk direction, during the past day, our defenders stopped one attempt by the occupiers to advance in the Zakitne area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, over the past day, our soldiers repelled one enemy attack in the direction of Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 50 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of Zatyshok, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, and toward the settlements of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Bilyakivka, and Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked 14 times toward the settlements of Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Danylivka, Berezove, Yehorivka, Stepove, and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
In the Huliaipole direction, 24 attacks by the occupiers took place toward the settlements of Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units stopped three enemy attacks toward Antonivka and Bilohrudyi Island.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
