An advisor to the mayor of Mariupol reported the arrest of more than 10,000 civilians in Mariupol under occupation. Some were held together with Azov fighters in Olenivka, but there is no information about most of the arrested.
More than 10,000 residents of the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol in Donetsk region were arrested during filtration procedures and purges. According to recent reports, some of the arrested civilians were held together with Azov soldiers in Olenivka. This was reported by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, during a telethon on Thursday, UNN correspondent reports.

According to the adviser, the latest reports on the arrested civilians indicate that they were held together with the Azov regiment in Olenivka.

The Russians continue to try to hide the number of Mariupol residents killed during the invasion. However, they do maintain a database of the dead that includes DNA information and photographs. Ukraine has managed to obtain a database of dead children, which confirms the deaths of 164 children in Mariupol during the invasion. In total, at least 25,000 Mariupol civilians were killed and buried, said Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol.
