Kharkiv will need about $10 billion to rebuild due to Russian aggression. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said this during a telethon, UNN reports.
"To rebuild all of this, to restore it, it will cost $10 billion," Terekhov said.
According to him, restoration and reconstruction work in Kharkiv has not been suspended despite the constant shelling by Russia.
"We cannot afford not to rebuild what is possible to rebuild and for which we have enough money. We cannot afford to suspend the work we have started. We cannot afford to let the city's critical infrastructure stagnate. That is why all this is being done," said Terekhov.
He noted that in 2022, 200 residential buildings that had been damaged were rebuilt, while last year, 67 were rebuilt.
Terekhov also added that this year there is also a plan to restore houses that have been practically destroyed.
