French President Emmanuel Macron is considering creating a mission to comply with the future peace agreement under the auspices of the UN. This is reported by UNN with reference to The Telegraph.

The publication notes that Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are leading efforts to create a "coalition of willing" NATO and EU countries to form a peacekeeping contingent with the support of security guarantees from the United States.
Sir Keir hosted 30 high-ranking military leaders from European and other countries in the suburbs of London to discuss plans. According to him, they were moving to the "operational phase", but it is still unclear how many countries are ready to send troops or how the plan will be implemented
The authors point out that Macron raised the topic of an alternative to the UN at the European Council summit on Thursday with the organization's Secretary-General António Guterres, who was a guest at the meeting.
"Any UN peacekeeping force would require Security Council approval. Given that both Russia and possibly the United States are against it, the prospects seem dim," the publication states.
