The First Cambridge Center in cooperation with Mystetskyi Arsenal announce the second series of English-language tours called 'Let's talk about art'! They will take place on July 20 and 27 at 16:00 at 10-12 Lavrska Street.
Representatives of the Arsenal will talk about the exhibition "Between Farewell and Return", which presents works by Ukrainian artists dedicated to places we cannot return to in English. After a walk through the halls, the participants will share their impressions with each other in a conversation club format. The discussion will be moderated by an English teacher.
The event will last 90 minutes, of which 30-40 minutes will be spent on the tour and another 60 minutes on the discussion.
To get on the tour, you need to buy an entrance ticket to the exhibition. You can do this on the Arsenal's website or at the ticket office on the day of the tour. The ticket price is UAH 120, with a discounted price of UAH 60.
Please note that the number of seats is limited, so you also need to register in advance. The Google form for signing up for the event will be published by the First Cambridge Center on its website.
The first series of English-language tours took place on June 22 and 29. Participants saw works by contemporary artists, discussed their interpretation of the loss of home, and shared their own stories.
And since the events were held in English, the participants were able to improve their speaking and listening skills.
By the way, learning a foreign language through such events is not only useful, but also exciting. Excursions to Mystetskyi Arsenal are an opportunity to combine cultural development with language practice. During such events, participants not only learn new words and phrases, but also apply them in real-life communication situations, discussing contemporary art, its influence and meaning.
In addition to attending English-language events, you can learn English through many other interesting formats. For example, thematic speaking clubs. You can watch a movie in the original language and then discuss it with like-minded people. The same goes for books and discussions about them.
Reading articles in a foreign language and watching news from global TV channels such as BBC and CNN will also help you improve your English. This will help you improve your listening comprehension and get used to different people's accents.
Regardless of the method you choose, the main thing is regularity and motivation. Learning a language should be fun, so the process will be effective and productive.
Don't miss the opportunity to broaden your horizons and improve your English by combining your studies with your favorite activities and new experiences!
