Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba emphasized to U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken the need and urgency for continued U.S. and international support for Ukraine, including air defense and artillery munitions, warning that the lack of such support would undermine U.S. leadership and jeopardize U.S. national security.
Failure to continue supporting Ukraine will seriously undermine US leadership around the world and jeopardize US national security. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Ukraina emphasized this during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, UNN reports.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and expressed gratitude to the United States for the recent military aid package that will help the Ukrainian people withstand Russian aggression.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister emphasized the need and urgency of continued support for Ukraine from the United States and the international community, including air defense and artillery ammunition.
The diplomats discussed further ways to approve a critically needed package of support for Ukraine from the United States.
"We cannot allow Russia to use delays in aid to advance, putting the whole of Europe and the democratic world at risk of an even greater war. In recent years, Ukraine has repeatedly demonstrated that with sufficient support, we can defeat Russia on the battlefield. Failure to continue to support Ukraine will seriously undermine US leadership around the world and jeopardize US national security," Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
The parties also exchanged views on the expected outcomes of the NATO Washington Summit.
