Keanu Reeves, 60, who is also known for his role in the John Wick action series, among other famous films, recently admitted that he “doesn't think his knees could take another movie with the same characteristics.
You should never say never, but now my knees are telling me: “You cannot create another John Wick.” My heart wants to do it, but I don't know if my knees can do it
Since the release of the first film in 2014, the John Wick franchise has grossed more than a billion dollars at the box office, becoming one of the most successful action movies of all time.
The four parts show Reeves as a ruthless man seeking revenge, but also as a man who is deeply human and vulnerable.
The climax of the fourth movie left fans with an ambiguous ending: John Wick apparently died after a dramatic duel in Paris, leaving open the discussion of whether there will be more stories to tell.
Director Chad Stahelski said that an alternative ending was also filmed, where Vic survives, but both Stahelski and Reeves preferred the more mysterious version.
AddendumAddendum
In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly last year, Reeves said about the fifth part: “I don't know, I guess I'll have to go with the 'never say never' principle. I mean, I wouldn't do a John Wick movie without [director] Chad Stahelski. I would have had to see what it would have looked like. I think it's very right that John Wick finds peace.
