18-year-old Vyacheslav Zinchenko, a suspect in the murder of Professor Irina Farion, was taken into custody without the possibility of bail. The prosecutor's office insisted on arrest, while his lawyer requested house arrest.

The Galician District Court of Lviv sent Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who is suspected of murdering linguist and professor of Lviv Polytechnic Iryna Farion, to custody without the possibility of bail, UNN reports .

However, the lawyer asked for house arrest for the defendant according to his residence in Dnipro and a bracelet. According to him, detention is not appropriate because the suspicion is unfounded, as there was no psychological examination.

On July 19, an unidentified person shot at Iryna Farion, a linguist and professor at Lviv Polytechnic. The woman was taken to the hospital with a head wound in an extremely serious condition. In the hospital Iryna Farion died.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that on July 25, an 18-year-old manwas detained in Dnipro , allegedly involved in the premeditated murder of Iryna Farion.

According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, law enforcement officers have enough evidence to claim that it was an 18-year-old boy detained in Dnipro who shot at linguist Iryna Farion. According to him, the investigation lasted 139 hours.

Law enforcers are checking the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion for involvement in the neo-Nazi movementwith its center in Russia.
