In Lviv, 9 people were rescued from under the rubble of a five-story building after a Russian attack; three more may still be under the rubble

Nine people have been rescued from the rubble of a five-story building damaged by a Russian strike in Lviv, with three more possibly still trapped, and the city's injured count has reached 31, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported on social media on Thursday, writes UNN.    

Thanks to the coordinated and rapid work of rescuers and the help of caring Lviv residents, nine people were freed from the rubble of a five-story building in Lviv. Most of them were hospitalized. Fortunately, there are no critical injuries

As clarified by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, "a search and rescue operation is ongoing on Patona Street. An elderly woman was evacuated from the rubble. She is alive. Two people are considered missing."

"The most important thing as of now: two people are considered missing. The search and rescue operation continues. 23 people have sought medical help, 13 are in the hospital. One person is in serious condition. 21 buildings have been damaged, as well as two kindergartens and a school. On Vygovskoho Street, the warhead of a rocket that did not detonate has already been neutralized. (...) The preliminary cost of eliminating the consequences is tens of millions of hryvnias," - stated Sadovyi.

According to preliminary information, Kozytskyi stated, the oldest victim is 93 years old, the youngest boy is 6. He was hospitalized with fractures of two limbs.

"The search and rescue operation continues. There may be three more people under the rubble," the head of the Regional Military Administration said.

Earlier, 30 injured were reported in Lviv.

Rescuers continue to free people from the rubble. Kozytskyi earlier reported that due to a blocked stairwell, people from the damaged five-story building are being evacuated using a crane.

In total, over 20 residential buildings have been damaged, as well as a school and two kindergartens.
